9. What about performance and reliability?
InfoValue QuickVideo™ delivers unparalleled streaming
performance based on InfoValue’s proprietary technologies
such as the “I/O Tunneling” optimization. For example,
a standard Pentium PC server can stream up to 960Mbps of on-demand
throughput over one Gigabit NIC, or more than 90% of the aggregate
bandwidth of multiple Gigabit NIC’s. Combining the leading
performance with the need only of standard hardware, InfoValue QuickVideo™
delivers highly attractive cost performance to its customers.
InfoValue QuickVideo™ also incorporates innovative server
clustering to allow multiple video servers to function as a single
system, share content storage, increase aggregate throughput, and
enhance system fault-tolerance. When a video server within a QuickVideo
Cluster fails, streams are automatically failed over to other video
servers and then are immediately continued from their points of
interruption.

capabilities?

distributed architectures, employs a combination of intelligent
features including scheduled push, on-demand pull, priority scheduling,
resource allocation, and persistent transfer.
InfoValue QuickVideo™ facilitates many powerful and convenient
operational features, such as adding & configuring servers,
adding & configuring multicast channels and programs with automatic
scheduling, controlling the recording and network PVR of multicast
programs, announcing program schedule dynamically, and publishing
video content as a video clip database. All control and operations
